There are seven main steps for printing ink.
1. Check the color in the ink container repeatedly to verify that this ink is the color to be put into the printing group.
2. Circulate the ink in the ink pump through the ink supply hose and flow back to the ink pump to remove the system air.
3. If an ink fountain is used, align the ink fountain and lock the clamping device. Make sure the ink does not rub against the end of any roller or the surface of the plate cylinder.
4. If the ink fountain is used, the ink fountain should be aligned and the pressing device locked. Make sure the hose goes around all moving parts. When using water-based ink, the return ink hose must be immersed into the ink of the pumping device to a certain depth, which helps to avoid foam.
5. The ink supply hose of the ink pump is connected to the ink distribution system.
6. Put the ink pump into the distribution system.
7. After the ink pump is used for a period of time, the viscosity (PH and viscosity for water-based ink) is measured to ensure that the working parameters of the ink are correct. If the working parameters of the ink are not correct, the ink should be adjusted and checked again to make it meet the technical requirements before the printing press starts running.
